At the end of what was a fabulous weekend to be in Port Arthur Texas and to be at Mid County Ram. The Elite Series’ newest sponsor wasted no time in stepping up and stepping out to show the anglers of both the Elite Series (boaters and kayakers) they plan on playing a big part in the outdoors and more specifically The Elite Redfish Tournament Series in years to come.

“When you think of the outdoors we want you to think of Ram trucks and when you think of Ram trucks we want you to this of Mid County Ram”, stated promotions manager, Alex Parker. The entire staff of Mid County Ram are a reflection of their fabulous leadership, it’s obvious Mr. Allen Tate, managing partner sets the standards high for himself, the staff and entire dealership all the way from sales to service and by the look of things this weekend, they don’t disappoint.

This event puts a bow on the 2016 tournament season for us and what a great way to end it, stated Pat Malone, president and ceo of Headturners3, LLC and the Elite Series.

The Captain’s dinner and meeting was a fabulous success thanks to the fine folks from Tequila’s Mexican Restaurant, Mid County Ram, Port Arthur Visitor’s Bureau and a host of great professional anglers that are set to compete. This event will be the first in a series of events for the Elite Kayak Series tour coming in 2017 and what a great group of pros to kick it off with.

Stay tuned as these pros meet back at Mid County Ram for morning check it, brief recap meeting and the official releasing of the fleet taking place at 6:00 AM local time. Donuts, coffee and Kolaches will await them thanks again to Mid County Ram and Davis Donuts of Port Arthur. What a great time to be in Port Arthur chasing fall redfish under perfect Texas blue bird skies, who could ask for anything more…

The The Professional Kayak Anglers Association, Port Arthur Convention and Visitors Bureau and Mid County Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram presents the first ever Elite Kayak Series Open. This event will allow some of the top Kayak redfish pros in the country to hit the big stage of the Elite Redfish Series and capture the largest first place prize in Kayak redfish history. With up to $10,000.00 check on the line for first place and a special classic recognition at the Elite Redfish Series Classic parade as part of Mardi Gras 2017, full big stage production and a drive through weigh in, the Big Time has finally come to Kayak tournament fishing.
