Always wanted to fish head to head against the best but can’t commit to a season long series? Always wanted a chance at big time prize money but couldn’t afford the thousands of dollars it’ usually takes to compete on the Elite Series?

Then this event is perfect for you, compete head to head on some great redfish waters as part of a great festival and fish your way into the Elite All Star Series.In 2018 the season kick off event will take place as part of Cajun Fest, held annually in Port Arthur and will feature cajun food, fun and heritage.

There is no off limits to practice time for anglers fishing this event but as of Monday April 2, 2018 anglers cannot receive information from outside the field of anglers in regards to fishing, techniques, lures and or navigation.

Legal waters for this event and only these waters may be navigated or fished during this event as of Monday, April 2 and through the conclusion of the event on April 7, 2018.

All boating and fishing for this event must take place within the following “field of play” waters.

  • Calcasieu LakePORTART
  • Cameron Prairie Refuge
  • Sabine Wildlife Refuge
  • Intercostal Waterways shown on map
  • Gulf of Mexico open and legal to boating and fishing
  • All Texas Waters Open to public boating and fishing
  • The public waters of Black Bayou/Louisiana Sabine River for navigational purposes only to the north end of the sabine refuge are allowed. This public Louisiana waterway is open to all anglers equally for boating but not for fishing, therefore anglers can traverse only for the purposes of gaining access to the north end of the public waters of the refuge.

No fishing privately owned Louisiana waters such as but not limited to:

IN BOUNDS

  • Conway
  • McMillan
  • Lighthouse cove 
  • Rusty’s
  • Swing Bridge
  • All other Louisiana waters not listed in “field of play” waters.

NOTE: Competitors are responsible for knowing the boating, idle, trolling motor, etc. and fishing regulations in all refuge or wildlife area waters.

  • TOURNAMENT TYPE, one competitor per boat, no teams,  no draw partners.
  • TOURNAMENT FIELD SIZE, spots in this event guaranteed for the first 35 paid entry fees. 
  • TOURNAMENT WATERS, defined and published official tournament waters will be established and marked via google earth maps and delivered to all anglers prior to the start of official practice. Anglers navigating through or fishing any out of bounds waters from Monday April 2nd through the completion of the event will be d.q.’d.
  • 3 DAY AGGREGATE WEIGHT TOURNAMENT, total weight minus penalties will determine place.
  • OPEN QUALIFIER is open to anglers paying the entry fee of $750.00 for this single event and being in good standing with the tour.
  • ANGLERS CAN WEIGH 3 REDFISH PER DAY 20″- 28″ for all fish caught or transported through Texas waters. 2 REDFISH 20″-27″ AND 1 REDFISH 20″- 28″ PER DAY for all fish caught or transported through Louisiana waters.
  • Only redfish can be possessed and none smaller than 20″ nor larger than 28″ can be brought in. Anglers will be assessed a 1 pound penalty for a dead fish.
  • FIELD OF ANGLERS FISH 2 DAYS, top 10 pros after 2 days move on to fish on day 3 and garner points, with top 5 guaranteed to receive awards.
  • Top 5 finishers qualify for Atlas Tour Stop, May 10-11-12 and also receive a automatic pass to the year end championship event but must compete in at least 1 all star tour stop in order to validate their pass to the championship October 11-12-13, 2018.  
  • POLYGRAPH TESTING, all competitors must be able to take and pass a truth detection test prior to receiving awards. Failing or refusing to take a truth detection test for any reason will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of all awards and / or prizes and points.
  • ELITE TELEVISION COVERAGE, this event will be filmed, edited and aired as part of the 2018 television line up airing in 2018 on the Discovery Channel.
  • PRO ENTRY FEES 750.00 
  • DAILY WEIGH INS at 3:00 – 4:00 PM open and free to the public at the Carl Parker 1800 Lakeshore Dr, Port Arthur, TX 77640.
  • Paybacks based on 35 competitors. Should there be more than 35 competitors the additional spots added beyond 5th will be paid in cash. Should there be less than 35, the top 5 will still qualify for Atlas Tour Stop May 10-11-12, 2018 with awards/credits based on 80% of purse to 1 in 5 competitors.

  3. $3,500.00   (Entry fee credit to All Star Tour stop 1)*

  5. $2,500.00   (Entry fee credit to All Star Tour stop 1)*

*Entry certificates are transferable / sellable to any angler registered on the Elite All Star Tour stop 1 or anyone wishing to compete in an Elite All Star Tour stop 1 that is in good standing with the tour.
